Acquisition to close in first half of this year

Data center operator Digital Realty is set to enter Malaysia by acquiring a 1.5MW facility outside Kuala Lumpur.

TelcoHub 1, a data center located in the city of Cyberjaya, is being sold to Digital Realty by Malaysian data center manager and operator CSF Advisers.

CSF’s CEO, Billy Lee, as well as the leadership team, will join Digital Realty as part of the acquisition, which is set to close in the first half of this year.

Digital Realty has also agreed to acquire a land parcel adjacent to TelcoHub 1 that will be able to support up to 14MW of capacity if needed.

Cyberjaya is located outside the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur and serves as a data center hub. It is home to other data center operators like Vantage, Infinaxis, Equinix, and Bridge DC. Johor also has a significant data center presence.

Texas-based Digital Realty has data centers in neighboring Singapore and Indonesia. Within APAC, the company also has facilities in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, India, and Australia.
